Here’s a case study that demonstrates the powerful transformation our training can create.
A frontline manager recently came to us completely exhausted. One of her employees—who she suspected may have a personality disorder—was creating ongoing stress and disruption on the team. Everyone on the team was stressed out, conflict was escalating in the team and the morale was dropping.
Despite trying all the usual strategies that worked really well for the rest of her team, nothing was working. She cared deeply and could not figure out what to do – in fact it was keeping her up at night trying to figure out the path forward.
She attended a virtual workshop and opted in for a 1:1 coaching session. The tools she learned in the workshop and coaching session were a game changer.
Instead of continuing to focus on trying to change the employee’s behavior, she learned a more empowering and effective approach: support the rest of the team to better cope with the challenging dynamics, and shift her focus to her own behavior as a leader.
With ongoing access to the Manager Toolkit, she could continue to practice the skills. She stated it really helped to access the toolkit before she had an interaction with the employee, to remind herself what to do and stick to the new strategy.
The last time I checked in, she told me, “I’m finally sleeping again.”
Our new program is designed exactly for situations like this—the messy parts of leading humans. HR policies and EAP just don’t deal with these kinds of problems.
If you’re having people challenges in the workplace, check out our new program and finally get a good night’s sleep.
