Dr. Dayna Method/Workplace Wellness/The Science of Asking for Help: It Takes a Village

Following our last week’s content on back-to-school battery management, today we continue the conversation with a topic that hits close to home: asking for help.

In our Battery Management series, we talk about what to do when you just don’t have enough energy to get through your day.

Spoiler: it’s not about doing more.
It’s about adding batteries to the system—and that starts with asking for help.

In this video, Dr. Dayna unpacks:

- Why asking for help isn’t a weakness—it’s a science-backed strategy
- How helping others can actually charge both people’s batteries
- What kinds of help count (hint: paid help is real help)
- Why modern life makes this hard—and what to do about it

“It takes a village to raise a child. And science shows—it takes a village to be mentally well as an adult too.”

This is your reminder that delegating, outsourcing, and receiving support isn’t a luxury. It’s a survival skill.
